(Grants open mid-December 2008 and close mid-February 2009) |
Last school year, the American Institute for History Education conducted 121 Colloquia,
23 Summer Institutes, and ran 34 Field Study Trips for 2005, 2006, and 2007 TAH partners
(450 total days of professional development in 2008).
Nearly 1,000 AIHE teachers improved their content knowledge by 45%.
They scored over 30% higher than control groups of history teachers.
Students of these teachers increased their knowledge, along with their appreciation
and interest in history, by great strides!
